PURPOSE:

The incumbent acts independently on daily routine procedures and makes decisions, after appropriate investigations, relating to the ongoing capture, update and reconciliation of outstanding non-retail credit exposure data in the Enterprise Repository (data warehouse)so that data is both accurate and meets department Service Level Agreement timelines.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1.The incumbent reviews and actions daily/weekly/monthly exception reports after the capture of outstanding balances from credit and/or loan product systems. Identifies, investigates and fixes issues related to invalid data such as invalid transits, GL accounts and currencies.

2.Liaises with branch personnel and GRM credit officers to resolve problematic situations relating to the mapping of outstanding data to authorized credits in CARDS and Risk Origins and variances identified in the reconciliation process.

3.Enters corrections on the Enterprise Repository application to resolve out of balance situations, errors in mapping outstanding data to authorizations and overruns

4.When necessary, runs jobs involving the loading of source data and support feeds as well other operational process jobs ensuring that the appropriate control processes are executed and problems followed up.

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:

1. A good grasp of accounting to ensure outstanding data is balanced to the General Ledger. Knowledge of credit and credit products is also required.

2.Good analytical skills to develop and maintain a working knowledge of system workflows and control procedures.

3.Good time management skills to effectively and efficiently ensure that a heavy workload is processed within tight deadlines.

4.Good written and oral communication skills for effective interaction with Credit Officers, Banking Units and programming staff.

5.Good judgment skills to recognize problems and recommend solutions before any deadlines are adversely affected.

6.The ability to effectively cope with procedural and system changes as the environment is always changing.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

-University degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or related fields

-Completion of Canadian Securities Course is an asset

-Completion of Computer courses will be an asset

-Database and SQL skills are assets
