Position Description:
Reporting to the Manager of Network Operations at Bell Media, the successful candidate will lead the introduction of new data network technologies with a focus on security solutions to ensure delivery of Bell Media content to customers all over Canada and abroad.

This position requires self:motivated individuals who can draw upon, or develop their architectural leadership in areas such as data networking topologies, broadcast production networks, network and broadcast security initiatives, to lead cross:functional teams and drive towards meeting Bell Media objectives.

This candidate must have strong project management skills to closely interact with Business and Technology stakeholders, including vendor partners for the successful implementation of new technologies and solutions. Specific responsibilities will include, but not limited to, as follows:

Job Duties/Accountabilities:
:
Define complex technological solutions and ensure successful deployment in production
:
Provide strategic security technology direction and champion introduction of next generation products and services including evaluation, proof of concepts, architecture definition and implementation
:
Assume responsibility for technological directions and for the design of the overall and detailed architectural plans as driven by business and security needs, market and technology trends
:
Project Manage engineering, installation, and maintenance activities related to the data network and advanced network solutions
:
Evaluate costs and labour for networking and security appliance hardware, as well document the technical components of Network Requirements Documents and Network Design Documents
:
Assume responsibility for network solution development and integration with other specialized disciplines within Bell Media
:
Lead RFI/P initiatives on new product technology investigation and opportunities
:
Produce reports communicating overall program status and milestones to team members, project stakeholders and management

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT or Math
:
Minimum 5 to 7 years in designing and deploying network and security solutions for WAN and Data Centre
:
Minimum 5 to 7 years experience in a Network Broadcast, Telecom or Data Centre role
:
High fluency with Advanced Routing (BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and Switching (STP, MLAG, VSS, VPC)
:
Familiarity in Point to Multipoint multicast of audio and video
:
Experienced with security devices such as Fortinet, Cisco, F5, others
:
Preferred Network Certifications including Arista, Juniper, F5, Fortinet, Cisco
:
Experienced with managing large IP Networks with emphasis on best security practice principles and methodical troubleshooting
