This is a challenging key role within hardware engineering. You will be developing sophisticated products that integrate into a larger enterprise system. The company is currently manufacturing systems for the complete remote control of facilities and to offer cloud services to end:clients. Working with management and a team of engineers, your participation will help identify new technologies and strategies for implementation.
Products currently include: Severs, Controllers, Devices, Sensors, Kiosks.

You will:

What will you do?
Take a leadership role and manage all aspects of scoping and planning phases of for our hardware products. This includes:
Identifying technologies for the long run development path
Build hardware prototypes
Develop and conduct design verification simulations and prototype bench tests of components
Analyze requirements, research, design and develop system architecture and specifications
Coordinate weekly survey reviews and analysis of ongoing projects
Identify potential problems, provide insight for solutions and if needed detail to management adjustments to the deliverable
Participate in ad:hoc projects as directed by management
Actively collaborate with the team to address hardware integration issues
Attend seminars and courses to maintain a high level of proficiency
Work with other engineers to design unit and integration tests
Generate Technical and User documentation when necessary
Work is primarily performed in an office environment.
Do out:of:office visits to on systems when required
Presentations and Webinars when required
8+ years embedded micro:controller design (Micro:chip, ARM)
Analog signal conditioning, Power:supply, DSP, and digital audio/video circuit design
There will be a heavy emphasis on Analogue and Digital (SIP audio/video) Intercom design. You must have demonstrable experience in this field of expertise.
Experience with industrial RS:485 networks
Bluetooth technology, RF designs for embedded devices
Understanding of relevant ULC, FCC and IP hardware
consumer/industrial standards
Experience with Development tools such as ADS, Eagle, Orcad, etc.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to supervise staff
Drivers License
Exposure in the design of Home Automation products
Project Management Skills
Exposure to SRED practices
Microphone Beaming and Acoustic Wave Forming
HTTP, TCP/IP, SIP VoIP Protocols
Computer Networking Skills, Wi:Fi and Ethernet etc.
Linux, programming skills

Bachelors degree in Electronics
