Reporting to the SOC Engineering manager, this Managed Security Solutions Specialist is self:motivated, energetic, driven for success and results oriented. Your knowledge of technical controls, service management, professional services and the firm will help you to support delivery and execution of managed security services offered by Deloitte. The Specialist will also be a key player and part of a team providing world:class security operations capabilities for our clients and a capability aligned with our strategic direction and that helps the firm better deliver on new and existing engagements. Our network of Cyber Intelligence Centres in Canada are located in Montreal, Toronto, and Calgary. We are recruiting in each of our centres. Occasional travel to local clients may be required and there are also opportunities for travel nationally and globally if the candidate is interested. The Specialist will participate in an after:hours 24x7 On:Call rotation as required. Ability to obtain Government of Canada Secret security clearance is required.

Responsibilities:

:Service Design, Transition, and Operation of the Deloitte Cyber Intelligence Centers Managed Security Solutions offering. As a multi:tenant provider, our customer platforms include, but are not limited to:
:Firewall
:Network IDS/IPS
:Network Access Control (NAC)
:Web Proxy
:Endpoint Security
:Email Security

:Operations
:Fulfill service requests for the range of supported technologies
:Drive incident resolution, coordinate efforts with internal, customer, and third:party resources
:As a technology owner, identify and address knowledge gaps through technical documentation and knowledge transfer sessions
:Tune, maintain, and report upon system/network event monitoring platforms

:Service offering growth
:Collaborate with other SOC functional teams to transition service design changes of client environments into operations
:Assist with capacity management process
:Research and evaluate technical solutions
:Driving business requirements into technical requirements
:Support RFP process
:Identify incident trends, investigate and diagnose problems, propose and lead the implementation of technical and functional environment improvements

Required Qualifications:
:A Bachelors Degree or Diploma in a relevant area of study with a preference for Computer Science or Computer Engineering
:Minimum of 4 years in Information Technology
:Minimum of 2 years in Information Security
:Proven system troubleshooting experience in enterprise production IT environments
:Customer service and excellence experience
:Proven understanding of IT security concepts
:Experience following change management process and reviews
:Ability to understand IT risks and implications to the business, identify weaknesses and recommend solutions

Desirable Qualifications:
:Proficiency in two or more types of the following platforms:
:Endpoint Protection (e.g. McAfee ePO, Trend DDI, Carbon Black, Bit9, etc.)
:Firewalls (e.g. Cisco ASA)
:Network IDS/IPS (e.g. Sourcefire)
:Network Access Control (e.g. Cisco ISE)
:Email Security (e.g. Cisco CES, Proofpoint)
:Web Proxies (e.g. BlueCoat)
:Load Balancers (e.g. NetScaler)
:Experience leading technology service integration initiatives
:Experience with team leadership
