Manage relationships with unionized CTV National News Electronic News Gathering (ENG) staff based across Canada
Liaise with leaders of the Bargaining Unit Local
Advise the management team on collective agreement provisions
Manage individual expenses via Ariba for the team
Administer Production Services operating budget for non:capital technical needs in all CTV News Bureaus, worldwide
Track and accrue reporter, producer, and technical overtime
Prepare and maintain the daily schedule for Agincourt newsroom
Log and advise managers on leave requests, backfill vacation and illnesses as required, and maintain work records
Prepare freelance payment sheets
Arrange schedule in advance for heavy vacation seasons and periods of special news coverage
Other duties as assigned
Superior planning, negotiation, and problem:solving skills
People:orientated leader with experience effectively leading a large team with members in separate geographical locations
Previous experience managing and scheduling a large staff of employees; experience scheduling unioinized employees is an asset
Sound understanding of television news production both in studio and in an ENG environment, an asset but not mandatory
