I'm a career counselor and tech recruiter. I get people the $28,000
Ontario Second Career grant. My advice to you is take the grant and take the courses.

1. they're Free to people on EI, OW, ODSP, MatLeave, People who work contract/part time
(all the courses are Fully Covered by the grant. meaning you don't have to pay a thing)

2. They cover your books travel and living expenses.
3. They register you in NextSteps/JVS or PCPI to help you find work once you graduate.
4. It helps the government, It helps you, And it helps the colleges.

You apply if you haven't taken second career in 2015 or after.
you're on EI, Social Assistance, ODSP, Mat Leave, or work part time/contract.

again, you DO NOT have to pay me a thing for this. This is my job. I'm a career counselor. if interested, hang on to this link and send me a message.
so that we can book an appointment to meet at the office.
