Intel Programmable Solutions Group is looking for talented software developers to help improve Intel's Quartus Prime FPGA design software. FPGA's are programmable hardware devices that provide a leading-edge platform for acceleration of computation, including network communications, video processing and machine learning applications.
The process of compiling an application to a configurable FPGA device involves advanced placement and routing algorithms, and modern FPGA's also support powerful features like Partial Reconfiguration that help maximize computing throughput.
Intel also provides technologies to allow targeting FPGA devices with software-based design entry flows e.g., C++ and OpenCL programs. We want to minimize the compilation time for all of these flows in order to maximize designer productivity. Compile time optimization can take several forms, including developing new, faster algorithms within the FPGA CAD flow, profiling and optimizing our existing code base, and providing new compilation methods and tools to allow for faster design iteration. In this role, you will contribute in all these ways to help ensure Intel's FPGA compiler provides best-in-class user productivity.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
- At the BS level only, must have the unrestricted right to work in Canada without requiring sponsorship
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or a similar field
- Excellent C++ programming skills, ideally including familiarity with latest language revisions
-Experience using FPGA or ASIC CAD tools, and familiarity with Verilog/VHDL
