SUMMER STUDENT PROGRAM

The Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. Summer Student Program is designed to increase recruitment outreach in the community and provide students opportunities to gain work experience. In order to qualify for our Summer Student Program, students should be aware of the following eligibility requirements:
:Students must apply on line to posted positions (no exceptions, no paper applications)
:Students must have completed one full:time year of university/college by May of this year
:Proof of full time school enrollment from the previous year must be provided with your online application
:Returning students whose performance was satisfactory, who are returning to university/college full:time in the fall must
re:apply to return
:A maximum of one student per family is allowed at one time

A number of positions exist across diverse groups in the GTA and this posting summarizes typical duties summer students would be expected to perform. Suitability for specific roles will be determined through the screening process following the program guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Depending on the specific role, responsibilities may include:
:Provide first:level contact and problem resolution with hardware, software and application problems
:Resolve user:reported problems as expertise permits using available tools, and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases
:Provide assistance with audio:visual equipment setup in meeting rooms
:Prepare new computers prior to deployment and reconditions (re:images) computers returned to the service desk, as required

QUALIFICATIONS
Depending on the specific role, qualifications may include:
:Enrolled in Post:Secondary Education in a Bachelor of Computer Science, Business/Commerce, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent
:Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office is required
:Experience with CSS Java, SQL, HTML, PLSQL, and NET would be an asset
:Analytical, statistical and mathematical skills
:Excellent communication, organization skills and the ability to multi:task and prioritize
