Your primary responsibility will be to manage the inventory flow, sales analysis and reporting for a Merchandise Category. You will work with the merchant team by taking a proactive approach to all aspects of the inventory process in order to ensure demand and inventory targets are met. You are a key member of the team supporting execution of the merchandising strategies. Day to day direction would come from the Merchandise Planning Manager.

:Collaborate with Merchandise Planning Managers, Category Leaders, Buyers and Merchandising Assistants on a daily basis to determine inventory plans to support the category demand plans
:Provide historical demand, margin and inventory reporting and analysis as requested for category, vendor, brand, shows and/or item eg. Brand/Pricing analysis
:Complete purchase order quantification analysis and recommendations
:Initiate clearance markdowns aligned to markdown strategy and optimizing profitability and productivity
:Monitor and analyze day to day demand and purchase orders to make recommendations to optimize inventory flow, ensure in:stock and keep within inventory budgets
:Manage open to buy with merchandise team
:Manage in:stock of core replenishment items including item review, analysis to determine reorder quantity and optimal order frequency to support on:air and on:line plans
:Collaborate with Logistics and Vendors to resolve Distribution Center problem freight and non:compliance issues
:Manage RTVs to vendor and ensure the privileges are used in a timely manner
:Execute all product transfers as requested by the Buyer and follow:up to ensure requests are completed
:Liaise with the Finance department to ensure that vendor accounts are kept current including management of Vendors Guaranteed:Sale payments
:Support the completion of Merchandising projects and Merchandise Planning initiatives
:Adhere to all applicable Health and Safety Regulations, both legislatively mandated and as outlined in the company policy

:Bachelors Degree and minimum of 2: 3 years in Retail Planning, Replenishment or Supply Chain experience
:Strong communication, quantitative and analytical skills
:Understanding of the supply chain and retail buying item lifecycle process
:Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook (ex. Creating and formatting formulas, links, v:look:up, pivot tables)
