Purpose of Job

The Analyst / Senior Analyst, Credit Risk is responsible for reporting on credit risk metrics and supporting the analysis of these metrics for the retail unsecured lending portfolio. The incumbent will also work closely with business line partners to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of content, as well as to provide change recommendation (i.e. automation) and support in integrating Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) requirements.

Key Accountabilities

1. Credit Risk Reporting & Analytics

  • Produce regular credit risk reports and analytics in an efficient manner using tools such as Datameer, Tableau, SAS, SQL, VBA, Python and/or R
  • Performance monitoring and reporting to enable actionable insights for key stakeholders
  • Continously find ways to improve reporting process, capabilities and consitency through automation and reduction of errors
  • Support adhoc analysis as required from time-to-time for different stakeholders

2. Credit Risk Data Management

  • Contribute towards development of a robust analytical infrastructure, including but not limited to databases and MIS
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on conversion of data/reporting assets, report automation, and/or data controls/governance
  • Data reconciliation to ensure ingestion of data originating from source systems are accurate
  • Point-of-contact for the team on big data tools such as Datameer and Tableau, and on data documentation

3. Credit Risk Management Strategies

  • Continuously acquire and enhance knowledge of credit lifecycle strategies and policies, and business and product development principles and approaches

Functional Competencies

  • 2 to 5 years work experience related to credit risk management preferred
  • Strong programming skills and knowledge on data querying tools (Datameer, Tableau, SAS, SQL, VBA, Python and/or R) required
  • Strong skills in statistical analysis, and ability to understand statistical models preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication (verbal and written) and critical thinking skills required
  • Project management skills to prioritize, manage and implement a variety of competing initiatives on a concurrent or staggered basis

Educational Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in a quantitative field (statistics/mathematics) or computer science
