The Process Automation Centre of Excellence development team requires a Pega Senior System Architect.
The Pega System Administrator will work to address the management and coordination of the product from Development through to production by working with the various application teams/labs. They will need to be able to work on the more technical details and hurdles and will oversee the coordination, integration and flow of development, testing and deployment to support continuous delivery. The Pega System Administrator needs to be focused not just on creating but also maintaining the end:to:end application delivery tool chain. This person will also be highly involved in the Automation aspect of our team by analyzing, designing and implementing strategies for continuous deployments while ensuring high availability on production and pre:production systems, this will be key for our strategy of moving to the cloud for Pega.
This role requires the candidate to be highly flexible in hours of work because of its customer:facing and highly available infrastructure needs.
:Install Pega PRPC and configure the Pega PRPC system according to PRPC System Admin Guide
:Establish deployment procedures, release management strategy and generate detailed release notes with completed; detailed instructions;
:Evaluating merits and risks of upgrades; coordinating with appropriate staff to execute smoke test for deployed applications;
:Responsible for generating appropriate system level documentation and knowledge base training documentation, deployment guide, System monitoring build guide, smoke test guide, etc.
:Support the implementation of cost effective applications to meet the business objectives by, providing detailed technical designs, investigating and recommending new technology.
:Insure all applications developed have a high degree of integrity, reliability and availability to meet the requirements of the online transaction processing environment.
:Provide technical expertise, guidance, advice and knowledge transfer to all support staff on all aspects of client/server computing, programming, database technology, networking within a multi:protocol environment.
:The incumbent is also required to provide recommendations on departmental standards surrounding systems architecture, application development, systems integration, data modeling, testing, as well as, performing reviews and walkthroughs of all major project deliverables to ensure the quality and completeness of functionality.
:Our Pega System Administrator will support the actual owners of the applications and thus closely record change to the environments and document known risks.
:The Pega System Administrator will be responsible for helping to set up Pega Alerting and notification. Monitoring and alert notification, rolling up and set maintenance mode, still need BNS administration for the system to operate effectively.
:The incumbent must have an expert knowledge of all aspects of Information Technology and industry practices as well as a detailed understanding of systems architecture.
:The incumbent must have excellent analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills in order to quickly and effectively resolve problems in an online trading environment. The incumbent must be highly creative in identifying and researching technical solutions to resolve business problems. The incumbent must be able to take abstract concepts and apply them to formulate solutions and often work in variable, precedent setting situations requiring the ability to quickly identify and resolve unique problems. The incumbent must have detailed knowledge of all applications supported by the department in order to provide user support.
