The IT Lean Program team leverages the Lean process improvement methodology to drive operational efficiency through operating model redesign, resource optimization, process standardization, and management best practice implementation to deliver high quality IT products and services across the global IT and S footprint.
Working closely with the various lines of business and departments within IT, the Manager will be expected to actively support the roll out of Lean and Operating Model Redesign initiatives as well as to continuously evolve the Lean Program Practice in order to optimize the groups effectiveness. We welcome candidates who are self:starters with an engaging leadership style as well as solid influencing and facilitation skills that will quickly develop relationships across the organization while contributing to a fun and collaborative work environment. Solid IT experience, sharp analytical skills, development, infrastructure or IT management background are highly valued. The work is intensive, expectation is high, but the opportunity to build up capabilities on the leadership, communication and problem solving fronts are tremendous. Support the leadership team with Lean wave roll out to drive improvements in key aspects of the Lean program: Efficient Processes, Management Systems, Mindsets and Behaviors, Skills and Capabilities as well as Customer Focus.
Utilize various tools and techniques to complete deliverables of the various stages of a Lean wave:
: Perform analysis and diagnosis of various business processes of the wave functional area, across demand, flow and capacity
: Develop hypothesis, synthesize findings, quantify opportunities and communicate results
: Assist in designing future state/optimized organization structures and processes, and develop Tactical Implementation Plan to capture the opportunities
: Conduct training and workshops to front line staff and management to establish sound Lean management systems, including but not limited to team huddles, visual boards, problem solving, KPI and metrics, capacity management, coaching and feedback, as well as performance dialogue.
: Support the functional area management to implement changes. Support senior leaders in the Lean Program team to continuously improve the program and build up change management capabilities:
: Identify opportunities and drive improvement in the Lean program practice, contribute to the development of the program playbook
: Identify efficiencies and effective opportunities in IT and S beyond waves assigned
: Collaborate with other team members as well as consulting partners and contribute to the overall capability growth and team building of the Lean program
: Develop and maintain strong relationships with management and staff in the wave functional area as well as key stakeholders within IT and S
More than 5 years of business experience with good knowledge in various aspects of technology processes (application development, maintenance and infrastructure) Lean, Six Sigma or other process improvement and business transformation experience are assets
Proven experience to effectively work in a team and ability to confidently communicate with senior management Change agent with high energy and willing to work in a fast paced environment, strong capabilities to deal with ambiguities and uncertainties
Fast learner, strong analytical skills and critical thinking capabilities to:
