To satisfy our growing operations and upcoming projects on our Whitby facility, we are looking for HVAC Specialist.
Based in Whitby, Ontario you will lead the maintenance, repair and project activities on the HVAC units supplied in GO Transits Bi:level fleet. This would encompass the identification of materials and manufacturing methods, quality assurance, obsolete components substitution, design upgrades, component repair, refurbishment and new product introduction within the fleet. You will also be responsible for the day to day supervision of equipment maintainers assigned to assist in HVAC work maintenance, the knowledge transfer and mentorship of the HVAC information to maintenance staff.
In your role you will
Reengineer, upgrade or create modifications to increase reliability of the HVAC equipment. Create Project Initiation and scope documents that will be presented to the customer for approval;
Review customer requests and develop the solutions to address HVAC performance issues;
Provide oversight, input and expertise to the maintainers performing the maintenance, repairs and modifications to ensure the specifications are met;
Perform the day to day supervisory duties, managing the HVAC maintainers; including and not limited to work task organization, payroll approval, documentation and work order completion;
Provide oversight, input and expertise in the development of HVAC maintenance procedures and programs.
As our ideal candidate, you possess:
You hold a Technical Diploma in HVAC, repair and maintenace;
You cumulate a minimum of four (4) years of experience in rail vehicle maintenance or manufacturing;
You possess experience in a similar position;
You have good understanding of equipment, locomotives and coach;
Your computer skills will be considered as an asset;
Your English communication skills both written and spoken are excellent;
