JOB SUMMARY: To lead the finance function for Canada, with focus on being a business partner for the Market Leader and the Market MT, ensuring financially sound (strategic) decision making and driving financial performance (P&L accountability). To secure and drive an efficient and effective finance infrastructure and organization in his/her scope (compliance to statutory & fiscal reporting, well defined ICS/SOX compliant finance processes, optimal funding & financial risk management, manage and develop the finance community in his/her scope). Support multiple functional areas apart from finance including Contracts and RFP reviews to ensure that Philips interests are protected and decisions are taken in line with sound business cases. Review pricing where the decision falls within the approval limit to ensure that Philips is able to win deals and yet maintain profitability in line with targets Fiscal (Direct and Indirect Tax) group to ensure statutory compliance and Customs compliance Pensions to ensure fiduciary compliance Manage multiple businesses Health Systems Canada including Lifeline and Respironics, Personal Health, and IG&S (Corporate Functions) Key Areas of Responsibility: Participate in Country MT and present Canada in NA forums Interact internally and externally with executive level management to negotiate critical matters / agreements. Work cross-functionally in the capacity of providing both leadership and direction to allow innovative and new concepts to be brought to life. Key decision maker in abstract situations providing direction to the business Define local policies, infrastructure and processes in multiple functional areas, across businesses in the country to help drive both profitable growth and effective functioning of the organization. Drives financial performance (P&L resp., Mkt. share, growth & profitability) Lead strategy development and business decision making with financial analysis, strategy modeling and portfolio management. Lead divestments / investments and M&A transactions in the country/market, including disentanglement / integration. Ensures correct and timely Philips, statutory and fiscal reporting Member of the pension committee taking playing key role in plan evolution, investment reviews, risk management and fiduciary compliance Ensures optimal funding and financial risk management Ensures strong and efficient internal control environment Manages the financial planning processes for the market (AOP & RoFo), Manages and develops the finance organization Manages RFP and Contractual commitments to ensure financial and other risks are managed and addressed Develop and implement corporate and organizational policies to ensure that organization evolves along with external and internal changes Manage customs, fiscal (Direct and indirect tax) reporting and compliance Qualifications: Minimum 12-15 years experience with minimum 5 years experience in senior finance role Bachelor’s degree + CPA, MBA will be preferable.
