OVERVIEW:

The Digital Product Owner : Mobile will champion and execute the vision and roadmap for the Mobile Channel and Platform(s) focusing on creating the best customer experience and while also ensuring sustainable business value.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

:Work with Digital Factory teams and Bank stakeholders on the following:
:Provide input on development prioritization
:Ensure mobile experience continuity for customers and alignment with Scotia Online when necessary
:Delivery of initiatives
:Play a leadership role in the Core Development team to ensure that capabilities are in:scope, on:time and of high quality
:Serve as the primary source of external information for the Core Development teams, offering clear definitions of the targeted capability, the intended value to the customer, and functional/non:functional requirements.
:Assist in the development of product roadmaps (including migration strategy to new application and functions).
:Translate directives and customer needs into backlog items. Author, refine and approve backlog items, with clearly articulated acceptance criteria
:Manage backlog contents, ensuring sufficient depth of groomed items for development consumption and commitment
:Apply incremental delivery principles, drive the delivery of business value, communicate progress, elicit feedback and enable stakeholder reviews for validation in the process
:Review QA test plans to align with acceptance criteria, facilitate testing and review of early builds for adherence to functional requirements
:Identify and manage business activities (operating model, training, etc.) required to support agile initiatives
:Support communication of deliverables internally (e.g. Branch News Items, CCC DYK, Scotiabank live updates, Release Notes) and externally (e.g. app store updates, updates, marketing)
:Manage project financials, develop value:at:stake and total cost of ownership models and define KPIs to measure business outcomes and team success
:Facilitate problem solving on a day:today basis as required, working closely with development on implementation challenges

:Previous work experience with significant accountabilities relating but not limited to:
:Product management and product development
:Communication and marketing
:Go:to:market execution
:Reporting and analysis:driven planning
:Excellent project delivery skills, with proven accomplishments leading cross:functional projects
:Enthusiastic, thorough, inclusive and results:oriented; Ability and desire to help others thrive in a dynamic team:oriented environment
:Deep passion in first class customer experiences, innovation and delivering software
:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate on a broad spectrum (from deep technical discussions to high level executive vision)
